We supply casing from four up to 18 inches in diameter and in various wall thickness from 2mm up to 6mm. This casing comprises welded casing up to a length of six metres and also SABS 917 rolled casing to lengths of six metres. Perforated casing on 3mm and 4mm is also done according to client specifications.

Southern Drill manufactures high-quality drill rods used by drilling contractors. These are also available in various sizes and wall thickness according to the drill-rig’s design.

The strength of Southern Drill is built around the excellent drill rods, which are made using a unique welding process. This ensures that the rods are used until they are drilled to a point where they are under-size and need to be replaced – having given the drilling contractor above-average metres drilled per rod. All pipes are manufactured according to international quality standards and hardened couplings complete the high-quality drill rod.

Due to the variety of suppliers in the industry, we also manufacture various crossover-subs, which allow for the connection of different threads (all within the American Petroleum Institute range used worldwide). These subs are also hardened to suit various applications.
